If they’re not being abused by liberals, an official list of terrorist organizations is a very useful thing. But that’s a very big ‘if.’
Fact is, it’s terribly easy to just rename and rebrand yourself. Tricking people, especially Democrats, into thinking you’re a peaceful group with peaceful intentions is the way that most terror groups get political power.
Of course, there’s always the other option – that a liberal terror organization will just demand to be kept off the list. And match that demand with threats, even funny ones.
In related news, the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has threatened US troops if the IRGC is designated a terror group. And in hilarious, news, the IRGC has threatened to put the US Army on – wait for it – an Iranian terror list.
The Daily Caller reports:
The head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps said Sunday that if the U.S. designates the IRGC as a terrorist organization, Iran will in turn designate the U.S. Army as a terror group.
Maj. Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari, commander of the IRGC, warned that if the “stupid US administration intends to designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization, then the IRGC will also specify the US army as a group (and target) like ISIL in all parts of the world.” [The US should] “transfer its regional bases to 2,000km away, that is as far as the range of Iranian missiles.”
President Donald Trump will designate the IRGC as a terrorist organization sometime this week.
It goes without saying that, well, of course the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps is a terrorist organization. But if you’re wondering if Iran would actually go through with attacking US troops in the Mideast?
Not likely. We have way more firepower.
This is about leverage. Donald Trump is working hard to end the Iran Deal. And Iran wants the deal – it’s their path to the bomb.

So the more threatening Iran can become – or so the logic goes – the more likely that Trump won’t back out of the deal.
Of course, if that’s actually Ali Jafari’s plan…he just doesn’t know Trump. Threats don’t make him back down. Anyone watching the war of words with North Korea knows this. Trump plays to win.
Iran had better learn this soon, or it will be left with no deal, no bomb, and no hope.
As Trump considers IRGC terror designation & IRGC considers targeting US forces in Iraq, spiral increasingly likely. https://t.co/UDFDTj6o7z
