In Barack Obama’s America, ‘truth’ is apparently whatever you want it to be. Also, so is biology.
Obamacare’s complete failure as a law is obvious to anyone who has been paying attention, and we’re all going to rejoice when it’s finally thrown out under president Trump. But certain parts of the law are still coming to light, as well as the people fighting the good fight to halt the damage it’s doing to American health care.
And in the spotlight today is Ken Paxton, Attorney General of Texas, who just won a nation-wide court battle against Obamacare.
The reason? A federal judge decided that, wonder of wonders, Texas taxpayers shouldn’t have to pay for – wait for it – gender-reassignment surgery.
Under Obamacare, surgically altering your body to look like a girl, or a boy, is a procedure that can be paid for with hard-earned dollars from taxpaying US citizens.
From Breitbart: “A statement released by the Texas Attorney General on Sunday says that ‘The Obama administration is attempting to redefine the law so that the term ‘sex’ means one’s ‘internal sense of gender which may be male, female, neither, or a combination of male and female,’ even though the president lacks the authority to rewrite the law.’ When Congress enacted the law for Obamacare, it used the term ‘sex’ as a biological category.”
If that wasn’t clear, let’s recap – when Obamacare went into law, the original meaning for “sex” was the obvious, and true, one: a category, in which were the options ‘male’ or ‘female.’ That was the law, as it was written. Now Obama is trying to change ‘sex’ – in his own law, mind you – to mean, not ‘male’ or ‘female’ but ‘pretty much whatever you feel like.’
So, in short, not only is Obama violating the terms of his own law, he’s trying to push the idea that people’s sex is determined by how they feel. And not, it seems, by what their DNA feels.
Pesky biology, with its disregard for people’s feelings.
For those of us who have experienced a true and severe illness, this power-grab by Obama is an extra insult. Apparently, if you’re male, and decide that you would like breast implants, liberals think your desire is as serious as a cancer patient’s need for chemotherapy.
As one married to a patient myself, I can’t tell you just how insulting that is. More power to Ken Paxton for his victory over Obamacare’s insane totalitarian edicts, and for his defense of basic biology.
