Kellyanne Tells Conservatives The Truth About President Trump’s Border Wall And His Deal With Dems

This is offensive, but true: conservatives can be impatient. We shouldn’t be.

Consider the Left, after all – they patiently infiltrated education, government, and the courts. Now they run everything. We could learn from that.

It’s why we probably shouldn’t flip out when Trump doesn’t fulfill a promise right away. It doesn’t mean he won’t. It just means these things take time.

In short, Trump’s building a wall. So give him some space to govern. But don’t take my word for it – take Conway’s.

The Conservative Tribune reports:

Last week, President Donald Trump caused a lot of angst among conservatives when reports began circulating that he had cut a deal with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to enact immigration reform — with no plans of a border wall.

Kellyanne Conway [clarified] the controversy over the wall, and doubled down on the promise to have the wall built.

“The president has made clear…that if there’s no funding for the wall, no deal can be made. He said it as plainly as possible for all to hear. Those are the president’s words. Take it to the bank.”

It should be made very clear that Trump isn’t backtracking here. The whole Fake Controversy the Mainstream Media pushed – that Trump was making a deal ‘without the wall! He’s a liar!’ – was obvious to those conservatives paying attention.

Rush Limbaugh spotted it right away.

But given that most politicians are liars, and that Middle America has been burned before by broken promises, it’s understandable that people are worried.

Conway, though, put those fears to rest.

“Bipartisanship is a means; it is not an end, it is not a goal. It is a vehicle by which you get things done, particularly when you need 60 votes in the Senate.”

That part’s important.

Consider what anti-Trump crazed liberals were saying for months: ‘Trump’s a dictator! He’s going to erode the rule of law! He doesn’t care about the Constitution!’

Now, though, we see the president doing what he has to do to get legislation passed…and it means working with Democrats. That’s not a bad thing. It’s what you have to do to not be a dictator.

Which, of course, is exactly what the Left has been screaming about.

Conservatives should cut Trump some slack here. He hasn’t disappointed them. He’s just being a president, rather than a tyrant.

That’s a good thing.
