As any good professor will tell you, history repeats itself. Or, put another way, if it happened before, it will happen again.
Past performance is an indication of future performance. You get the idea.
Conservatives have used this statement so many times in idiot liberal debates about communism, socialism, Islamic fundamentalism, et. al., that we forget that the saying is true for small things as well as big things.
And to that point, while communism will always kill millions of people whenever it’s tried, and capitulation to terror will always encourage terrorists, it’s worth remembering this: politicians will always manipulate votes.
Especially Democrats. Which brings us to President Trump, and his ‘discredited’ claim of voter fraud.
Let’s cut to the chase – voter fraud is real, it’s happened before, and it’s likely to happen again. Trump’s claim is far from ‘discredited’ – it is plausible, frequent, and absolutely worth investigating. After all, it happened to Obama.
From the Daily Caller: “Somewhere between 38,000 and almost 2.8 million non-citizens voted in the 2008 elections, according to a study published in Electoral Studies journal in 2014.
Old Dominion University professors Jesse Richman and David Earnest, the study’s co-authors, concluded that ‘some non-citizens participate in U.S. elections, and that this participation has been large enough to change meaningful election outcomes including Electoral College votes, and Congressional elections.’”
That last line is the most important – ‘this participation has been large enough to change meaningful election outcomes.’ Let it sink in – had only citizens voted in 2008, key elections would have gone the other way.
And if you, like me, were wondering ‘which elections?’, Richman and Earnest had an answer.
“’We find that [illegal] participation has been large enough to change meaningful election outcomes including Electoral College votes, and Congressional elections. Non-citizen votes likely gave Senate Democrats the pivotal 60th vote needed to overcome filibusters in order to pass health care reform and other Obama administration priorities in the 111th Congress.’”
‘Non-citizen votes likely gave Senate Democrats the pivotal 60th vote needed…to pass health care reform.’ Read it again.
Obamacare was made possible by illegals. And liberal lapdogs in the biased media keep saying that Trump’s claim has no merit, when even laws passed during Obama’s tenure were made possible by illegal alien votes.
You just can’t make this stuff up.
CNN and the rest of their ilk are still pushing the idea that Trump’s claim has been ‘discredited.’ They’d probably do better to study up on their history before opening their traps.
