In a time where the US is threatened by ISIS, North Korea, Russia, China, and the violence in Syria, you’d think it would make sense to have our armed forces ready to fight. But you’d be wrong – they’re spending their time doing something completely different.
Very different. I promise you I’m not making any of this up.
Fact is, the Army, instead of preparing for any number of multiple wars, is training for one thing – the arrival of transgender soldiers.
You read that right. This is what the left is doing to America’s last line of defense.
The Conservative Tribune reports:
The Army has begun holding compulsory transgender sensitivity training for officers, soldiers and civilians as part of the Pentagon’s effort to establish a welcoming environment for transgendered people.
The Army held the first sessions on Tuesday, which were geared to help the service implement policies on transgender troops and to “assist soldiers who have a medical diagnosis indicating that gender transition is medically necessary through the gender transition process.”
In short, this: ‘the army is spending its time helping out confused soldiers by preparing an environment for them that will be welcoming, warm, and ultimately nurturing.’
Which, mind you, is exactly the sort of phrase that puts fear in the hearts of ISIS soldiers. Nothing like ‘welcoming, warm, and nurturing’ to make Islamic fundamentalists run away frightened.
The truth is obvious here – the Army’s priorities are skewed, obviously by the Left. And I’m not the only one furious about it. So is James Mattis.
In his testimony before the House Armed Services Committee, Mattis blamed Congress for not approving budgets in a timely manner or repealing laws that limit defense spending.
Congress has “blocked new programs, prevented service growth, stalled industry initiative and placed troops at greater risk.”
“For all the heartache caused by the loss of our troops during these wars, no enemy in the field has done more to harm the readiness of our military than sequestration.”
Mattis speaks bluntly, but, believe it or not, he’s still part politician. By which I mean that even here, he’s holding back.
Because what he really means is this: Congress hasn’t given the US military the resources it needs to be effective, and its failure here is more deadly to American soldiers than the Taliban in Afghanistan.
Because if we don’t have what we need, we can’t fight.
And now, we’re spending what little we have on sensitivity training.
Someone please wake me from this liberal nightmare.
