We all watched with glee as Trump called CNN to the carpet for their shameful attempt at maligning him with Buzzfeed’s false report.
The shocking fake news was widely rejected by almost every other news organization, including liberal outlets who would have loved to smear Trump. Yet CNN reported on the so-called intel, embarrassing themselves and the entire industry.
At a recent press conference, where Trump outlined his steps to eliminate potential conflict of interests during his presidency, he confronted Jim Acosta of CNN while taking questions. Even when Trump welcomed a question from another reporter, Acosta shouted over her, rudely interrupting the Q&A.
Trump put him in his place, calling CNN fake news. Here’s the beautiful clip for those that haven’t seen it yet:
Now we are learning more about the fallout of the event.
From Right Wing News:
After the dust-up. Acosta tucked his tail between his legs and went back to CNN, where he claimed that Spicer threatened to have him thrown out…
Spicer went on Lou Dobbs Tonight to discuss this allegation.
“Jim Acosta was inappropriate, rude and disrespectful. And he did it twice,” Spicer told Dobbs. “He did it then in the clip you showed there and he did it later… I informed him that his behavior was rude, disrespectful and inappropriate and if it happened again I would have him removed…”
Shortly after, Acosta called a truce, which was probably the best decision he could have made.
I have covered 4 presidential campaigns. Democrats and Republicans. This has never happened. Let's deescalate, find a way to work together. https://t.co/wgNsXlwt4z

Yes, let’s “deescalate,” Jim. Since after all, you were the one escalating things. Later in the same press conference, Trump did give a CNN reporter a chance to ask a question. Acosta’s shouting and disrespect for his fellow reporters was not necessary.
President-elect Trump is not like other politicians. He does not need to placate news reporters to get good press, nor will he shrink away when slanderous lies are spread about him online. He is a bull. He does not back down from a fight. It is that very spirit that inspired millions of Americans to vote for him.
The press will need to work very hard to win back respect from Trump, after the unreasonable and disgraceful treatment they showed him during the campaign. Perhaps the media will learn and begin to cover him honestly.
If not, well more than just Acosta will receive a lashing.
