Americans Are Outraged To Learn Who’s Getting Off The Hook At The IRS

It’s becoming more and more clear that Obama’s lawlessness has permanently poisoned DC – and even Jeff Sessions can’t get rid of it.

Trump, if you recall, purged a lot of the Obama-era appointees during his first few weeks in office. And for good reason – the only way to Drain the Swamp and start fresh was to put in honest people.

And, of course, to get rid of those who would work hard to undermine Trump’s decisions – and then claim that Trump couldn’t govern.

(And, of course, to get rid of those who would leak classified information to the press.)

Problem is, there’s more of the bad guys in DC than we thought. And we have proof: the Justice Department just let off one of the biggest criminal minds in Obama’s administration.

And it’s none other than Lois Lerner, the same IRS megaboss that targeted conservative groups for discrimination – twice.

The Daily Caller reports:

The Justice Department says it will not prosecute former IRS executive Lois Lerner for targeting conservative groups during the 2010 and 2012 elections.

Assistant Attorney General Kevin Boyd said that after a careful review of the case, DOJ will not pursue charges against Lerner, who oversaw the IRS division that reviewed tax exempt organizations.

“After this process, the Department determined that reopening the investigation would not be appropriate based on the available evidence.”

Before you scream at your computer screen, as I did, consider exactly what this means: a top IRS official that purposely targeted conservative groups for discrimination, and denied the rubber stamps they would have needed to legally campaign for conservatives in the 2012 and 2016 elections, is being let off.

In other words, someone who illegally helped liberals win– with abused government power – is being let off.

But if Russia wanted Trump to win, well…call out the dogs, and get a special prosecutor. The Left’s hypocrisy here is beyond obscene.

Perhaps, though, we should be fair – there really wasn’t enough evidence to convict Lerner. But that was because of one thing:

Lerner pleaded the Fifth in two separate congressional hearings — one in 2013 and another in 2014.

Oh, that’s right – it’s because she just wouldn’t say anything.

It’s clear that Jeff Sessions may not be up to the job of resisting the Obama leftovers. And the top Republicans in Congress are starting to agree. They’re furious with Sessions.

Let’s hope it finally leads somewhere.
