Recent months have shown just how effective radical, Islamic terrorists can be.
During the religious celebration of Ramadan, they have struck across the world, wreaking havoc on innocent civilians.
And they’re not slowing down. A recent audio message was uncovered, from alleged ISIS leaders, calling on their disciples. Their next attack might be right around the corner.
The Islamic State group may be losing ground in their self-proclaimed caliphate in Iraq and Syria, but that doesn’t mean they are any less dangerous.
In recent weeks alone, deadly attacks from Sunni extremists have been carried out in the United Kingdom, the southern Philippines and even in the heart of Shiite Iran…
According to the U.K. Daily Mail, al-Muhajer proclaimed, “O lions of Mosul, Raqqa, and Tal Afar, God bless those pure arms and bright faces, charge against the rejectionists and the apostates and fight them with the strength of one man…”
There is little doubt that Islamic State group members and followers — or even “lone wolves” inspired by the terror outfit — are entrenched in the U.S. in sleeper cells, just waiting to wreak havoc and, in their view, attain martyrdom through sacrificing themselves in the slaughter of infidels.
Since Trump took office, the United States has been relatively free from terror attacks—asides those perpetrated by liberal activists. Despite corrupt judges blocking the president’s travel ban, our government has been keeping us safe.
Moreover, Secretary Mattis has been hitting ISIS hotbeds hard. Our military has been bombing ISIS bases, crippling many of their resources overseas.
But small networks of ISIS followers could be anywhere. They don’t need elaborate weapons or even many resources, in order to inflict harm.
Now more than ever our law enforcement must root out potential attackers. Never again can we tolerate the deaths of our children and loved ones.
Now more than ever we must stay vigilant; our lives depend on it.
