The ACLU Is Trying To Stop ICE From Doing The 1 Thing That’s Keeping Americans Safe

The American Civil Liberties Union has never met a Leftist cause that that it didn’t fall head over heels in love with.

The nonprofit organization wields a ton of power, and it claims to work towards the greater good by defending everyone.

However, it appears as if the greater good – as the ACLU sees it – is nothing more than the liberal manifesto. As such, the word ‘everyone’ seems to only include those that subscribe to that narrative.

The organization is stocked to the gills with powerful attorneys, and its none too shy about wielding its might to flood the nation’s court system with nonsense cases aimed at throwing a wrench into things that don’t advance the liberal agenda.

The Daily Caller shares another alarming example of that.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is asking the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to end cooperation between local police departments and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In a letter to DHS, the ACLU claims the agreement is “one of the worst federal immigration enforcement programs” and is concerned that it has found new life in the administration of President Donald Trump.

While it’s been quite obvious for some time now that the real power in the nation comes from behind the judicial bench, that point has really been driven home since Trump took office.

The president has stuck to his promises and attempted to implement common sense solutions to the problems facing our nation, but he’s stonewalled at every turn by time-wasting lawsuits that attempt to question the wisdom of his decisions.

As the ACLU sees it, anything that doesn’t fall in line with its preferred narrative is simply not wise and must be stopped at all costs.

The program, known as 287(g), authorizes state and city police departments to carry out the work of ICE agents, which the ACLU suggests should not be applied to 24 more jurisdictions across America.

“The Trump administration has recklessly expanded the program to include jurisdictions volunteering to join Trump’s deportation force.”

“287(g) has been expanded despite its troubled past, without transparency or oversight. The costs of enmeshing local law enforcement agencies in the business of federal civil immigration enforcement far outweigh the benefits,” the ACLU argues.

In a nutshell, the ACLU wants police departments to disregard federal laws. If you’re having a hard time gleaning the wisdom from that wish, you’re not alone.

While our nation continues to be the greatest place to live on the planet, there remain plenty of problems that need to be dealt with.

Dealing with them is made all the more difficult by the ACLU. It’s hard enough to fix what’s broken without a powerful organization wielding propaganda tactics in an attempt to change the collective mindset.

Won’t this nonsense case just wither up and go away?

Perhaps it will, but that won’t be before it’s dragged through the court system while receiving a ton of complementary coverage from those that control the narrative that’s presented to the American people.

Here’s to hoping that Trump continues his press to install as many common sense judges as humanly possible.
